KESQUIA COUNTY, Wash.
– A man is asking for help from the State Police to find his missing truck.
Authorities said Wednesday they received a tip from a witness about the truck’s location in the remote community of West Kettle Moraine.
The man told authorities he heard a loud bang, then heard a thud as he drove into the woods and found his vehicle, which was still parked.
“He said he was driving around looking for the truck, and he thought he was going to see a person or maybe find something,” said Sheriff Brian Ritter.
“But the next thing he saw was a large white truck that was completely gone.”
He said the truck driver and a passenger are both men, and a woman is also with them.
They told him they have not seen any people in the area.
Sheriff Ritter said the witness told authorities that the truck had not been in their area since August.
He said the vehicle has no insurance and the only reason he has seen the truck is because he saw it driving on the road.
Ritter said he is not aware of any arrests in the case, but the sheriff said they are actively looking for a suspect.
The truck driver is believed to be the only person still in the truck.
