A man in Texas was arrested Thursday after police say he pulled a gun on a woman inside a Walmart store in Houston.
The woman, who was a store employee, told police she had been threatened with a gun by the man, police said in a news release.
Police said the man then grabbed a handgun and shot the woman.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police added.
The Walmart incident comes as a federal judge in Washington State is hearing arguments in a lawsuit filed against Walmart alleging its failure to train its workers to protect themselves when they enter a store.
The lawsuit seeks class-action status for Walmart employees who say they have been injured by other workers or people trying to help them during the company’s “no-knock” policy.
