Today’s local news has been released by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and it has the most detailed picture yet of how the events of the night unfolded in Wales.
The new story from ITV, called “The Last Night of the Proms”, focuses on the night in question, which saw a number of parties and celebrations around the city centre, including one involving a car crash in the centre of the town.
There was also an incident of drunken behaviour on the streets of Cardiff which led to an investigation.
It was at that point that the police decided to open a formal investigation.
The police investigation has now concluded, and the BBC has released the details.
Here are the key points:In a statement, the BBC said: The final result of the investigation has confirmed the events on that night were not the result of an isolated incident.
Police had been called to a “very small number of incidents” in Cardiff on the evening of the last night of the proms in March 2017.
As part of the enquiry, the police investigated the night, and found that “no criminal offences had been committed and no criminal activity had taken place at that time”.
The police have also ruled out any suggestion of a “cover-up” or that there was a cover-up of the incident in order to justify the police investigation.
As for the number of people involved in the incident, police said:Police believe that there were several hundred people involved, but this was not necessarily the case with all of the parties involved.
In a separate statement, Cardiff City Council said:The decision to launch an investigation is one we take very seriously and we are determined to provide a full and transparent investigation.
“We take the safety and security of all our residents very seriously, and are working with the police and other agencies to ensure that the facts are presented in a proper and impartial manner.”
It said that there will be a public inquiry into the events that unfolded, which it said will be held on Sunday.
The BBC’s story, which will be broadcast on Sunday, will be available to watch online as it comes to viewers.
